Miracle Best Kept Secret (aka "Minx") arrived at approx. 2:28 am on May 29th. First time-mom Mati (Evans Matilda the Dragon) stopped eating only long enough to lay down and deliver.... and got back up and started eating again. Nothing makes Mati miss her groceries-- not even her new foal!

An interesting side note to the story is that every time the vet saw Mati he did not believe she was in foal. We had not ultrasounded her to check for pregnancy, but asked the vet if he she looked to be in foal to him. . He said that he would be "flabbergasted" if she was in foal as she did not show at all and the foal never kicked. It wasn't until she was eight months along that we could feel the first kicks and knew she was!. Due to the fact that Mati kept the news to herself for so long, this filly has been named: Miracle Best Kept Secret.

Dec. 02, Minx is now in her new home in CA. We wish her new owners the best of everything with her.
